The pellet version is steady it's easy to remove bottom from top to clean it and it actually do let the pellets out ,but no doubt you have to wipe it sometimes with a paper towel If you use high oil based food it can attract dust or leve a unpleasant smell,
It's dimensions the base is a good humanfoot with a good bottle in same height as the base is long, DO NOT use heavy cleaning products or rough materials like sponges to scrub it will damage the protective coating on the product.
